Boat race @ Philly?

The last race yesterday @ Philly, Doublethestyle pays $127 finishing 7f's in a slow 127.1 by 5 lgs. His form was dreadful, other horses had finished 7f two seconds faster, and the last race on a card is usually when a race would be "boated up". What say you?

lamboguy won a maiden 12,500 there by 11 + lengths with a horse that a leading rider said would be lucky to make it around the track 2 more times.... so i guess anything is possible.

"Boat" races don't usually feature $127 win payoffs...AND $1,000+ exactas.

If the exacta payoff was in the $250 range (like in a similar race at Calder not too long ago)...I might agree with you.

tetezarkis doesn't win to many races, but when that family does the horses seem to pay telephone numbers. its been that way for years.

If it were a boat race, those in on it forget to bet.

Never let the facts get in the way of a good story. Rumor has it the bookies in Greece took a bath and are looking for a bailout.

boat race.....sort of a fixed race where one horse is let go to an early easy lead and sails home.

tomato can.....an weak opponent who will be easily defeated.
