there was one good result from this election...

marylanders voted "yes" to question 7 allowing for expanded gaming!!

we should have live poker in maryland before the end of basketball season!!

sure this will really hurt charles town (my favorite track) but with their $6 rake and (practically) ZERO COMPS..... penn gaming got what they deserved!!

indeed it will be great when they get a harrah's there, but it is going to take a few years. maryland live should be up and running within five months or so.

The downtown casino was tied into ballot question #7. Now that the casino in PG county has been approved, and it is up and running, funds will be channeled to the one near the inner harbor.

The downtown casino will kill the gaming action (poker machines) in the bars.

Strange scenario in this case. While it is illegal to pay off on these poker machines, the bar owners do pay off, and everybody knows it.
That includes pols and the police. However, the bar owners can't complain that the casino will hurt them as their machines are for "amusement only".

So downtown is going to get a Casino.

This should be interesting. My info from Arundel Mills is that they are making big bucks and out drawing all other casino types in the state.

By a factor of 20 in revenue

Cordish can't be happy today
