I'm surprised no one has commented on this yet. When I first started following racing Won the West was a good horse, but not a great one. Seemed to finish second or third quite a bit although always racked up the cash earnings. Then he found that bit of extra and starting winning and really rakin' in the $$$. Shame they couldn't get him back to sound enough to race competively. It woulda been cool to watch him go for Gallo Blue Chips earnings mark. (I never saw Gallo race, too young and didn't follow) Anywho, here's to you Won the West on a fantastic racing career. Enjoy your lighter days ahead!
