Neglected horses in St. Landry Parish
Just saw a news story about neglected horses in Opelousas, La...sickening. Opelousas is the home of Evangeline Downs, but these horses are not racers and the barn owner (as far as i know) isn't involved with EvD in any way.

These horses (and even a donkey or mule) were bone thin and standing in their own excrement...lovely.
The worst ones were rescued by the state, but some still remain, as does the rotten owner, who so far has only been cited for her actions.
