Reading this article brings up a sore point with me. John Wayne! Everybody consider him some sort of hero. He was not. He portrayed heroes in the movies. He did not serve WWII unlike Jimmy Stewart, Henry Fonda and host of others actors. When I see that he got the MOF I am reminded of that fact. Maybe he does deserve it for his contributions as an artist just like Bob Dylan. So be it. It just bothers me that he is considered a hero when WWII produces so many real heroes that earned that title in battle.

Goren you are so full of shit your on Nebraska's bio shit list. The truth is that John Wayne disliked liberals and was very vocal about it. You never miss a chance to stick up for the Marxist way in your pathetic way.

Hero is another term like class handicapping that is not clearly defined nor understood.

So tell me exactly what did John Wayne do that makes you think he's a hero?

Okay, did you know that actors that had worked with Wayne were blacklisted by certain Hollywood leftwing human waste product ? Not actors with demonstrably despicable politics --- actors that had made movies with John Wayne ! If you were convinced of the truth of this charge, would it bother you, Bobby baby baby Bobby ?

Black listed like Robert Mitchem's son? He's running for office in Santa Barbara.

No Huerta Turn
I was surprised to see Sam Jaffe being spooned by the Star Quarterbarack, and then I noticed it wasn't Sam --- it was Bobby Zimmerman. You know, the guy that killed Trayvon ... er sump'm like that.
As for Reconquista Homecoming Queen Dolores Huerta, the apple doesn't roll far from the orchard, does it ? Aside from getting the shite beaten out of her at protests, what was she good for ? Oh yeah, as with the Duckbilled Platitude-in-Chief, the charge is that she helped people. That's nice. Didn't David Duke help many people ? Didn't Bobby Byrd make America safe for Klansmen ? Didn't Strom Thurmond stand up for the rights of Southern crackers ? Jimmy Hoffa took care of many people. Wheah dey medals at ?
According to Nancy Benac, the president said the honorees were so cool, people were crowding to check 'em out. That is in-de-friggin-scribably cool, Mr. President.
And Jim Morrison definitely deserved a medal. What's that ? Oh, Toni Morrison ? Well, she's of color, of gender, and unintelligble. Sounds qualified to me.

I think you got your history wrong. There were actors , writers, ect blacklisted just after WWII. It was not because of their conservative views or working with John Wayne. It was because of their liberal views. Conservative actors like Wayne, Heston and Reagan had no problem plying their craft. Some banned actors included Lee J. Cobb, Howard Duff, Jose Ferrer, Will Greer(Grampa Walton), John Garfield, Lena Horne, Sam Jaffe, Burgress Meredith, Edward G Robertson, Orslon Wells, Eddie Albert, Lee Grant, and Kim Hunter.

What does John Wayne have to do with the topic of this post? Are you trying to draw some moral equivalency here? Obama cozies up to a known Marxist and you try to deflect attention away from that?
Boxcar
P.S. Did the mother ship instruct you to try to distract everyone with John Wayne?
