Fairgrounds Turf

Is it me or is the turf course at FG, pretty awful, it seems watching it today, that tons and tons of sand is tossed up with each hoof touching the ground.

It seems like you can see the sand through the turf course, just wondering?

They've been running for more than four months straight and the meet ends today; I imagine the turf course would be pretty beat up by now.
