Picks for Monday Funday 2/6

Betting Key Box Exactas

Dover R6............5 w/3,2,1 ...Year Of The Dragon-12/1
I'm going to give 22 yo Jason Lynch a shot at an upset here. This Dragon went the long mile on a sloppy track with Pierce and held sway, has a week off. 20k claimers suits him.

Yonkers R10.........7,8,6 ...Sparky-6/1
The Dragon in this race (#2) has been giving it up in the stretch even with Brennan. Take a crazy shot, go against the post bias and box the 3 outside posts in the Exacta. If the 567 battle early, the 8 could win it. Might be a good place or show bet if board looks good.

Meadows R6..........1 w/8,5,3 ...Condor Hall-8/1
Another crazy bet. ..P driver Naquel Harvey went off at 117/1 in last and got 3rd by 2 lens. Guess crowd doesn't bet "P" drivers or first names with a "Q" in them . KeyBxEx

Pompano R11.........6 w/7,4,1 ...Ideally Magic-6/1
6k claimer dropping to 5ks doesn't mean much at this track but this 10 year old has been showing good signs as of late.

Welcome dave1950, here's my Woodbine plays for tonight.
Woodbine R3.........5 w/3,6,9 ...Texas Ridge-6/1
Woodbine R7.........4 w/5,10,6 ...Pouvoir Duharas-5/1 (power of the stud)

Good Luck Everybody

I like a horse in the 11th race @ The Meadows.....#3...POSTER MAN, is in a good spot today...This 4yo, was all out just to keep up and to finish 2d to a red hot, odds on winner, in his last race....But, he was what I call a "DEF2" horse, in that last race of his (definitely 2d best).....He was a good 11 lengths the better, than the 3d place finisher in that one....That is an angle that I use a lot, when other conditions are met....He finished in quick late time, at that ...

I also like, that they keep trying him in a much higher class, from time to time....That alone, tells you how they feel about their horse...I like that type of trainer attitude, when they think a horse can do better...

He should give a good accounting of himself this week....5 of 24 last year, so he knows how to win.....That is important at this bottom basement type of claimers...

I'm biting....

best,

Poster Man was off at 9/2, was 2d - $3.80 for the place

Secured a 3-hole early seat (the death seat if SIN), SIN5 (sat in till past the 5/8's), then was stuck following behind a dead piece who just wasn't keeping up,, only to have to go 3-wide by the top of the lane...By that time, the odds-on winner, had an insurmountble lead and was long gone to a very safe win, while Poster Man was charging hard down the lane, easily beating all the rest, but it was for 2d prize only....Another DEF2 race for this guy....

$ -$2.00....

Ray FYI the #3 Texas Ridge(woodbine) was interfered with while circling the field as the horse in front of him broke(#4) forcing him to skip and eventually break. I am definitely tabbing this one for next week. He looked really good!

dave1950--Very to read your post. That has happened to me in the past also. NOT a good feeling. Post more often if you can. You know your stuff. We all are looking for the price horses. I think we have a nice little harness section here with some very good players. As Camfella said in one of his posts it is a small section same as harness when compared to the t-bred boys. But we do get our longshot winners. Close on a 45-1 shot last Sat at BigM. Wish Lotta Kash would post selections more also. Miss poster "Botster" and "Markgoldie".
