on page 9 the letter is about a horse that i had as a baby. i had him in an early race as a 2 yo in march at gulfstream. he ran 2nd his first to race to another horse that i had in that race shocking dunn, who happened to be the mare that produced rat oath special, a winner at saratoga this meet. ruffles and ridges ran a second race in gulstream in the mockingbird stakes. he bucked shins and i brought him back to the farm in ocala and sold him 3 months later. he went on to race until he was 8 and earned over $300k in cheaper races his whole career. bottom claiming, starter allowance and a few alowance wins.
i just wanted to bring up a horse that started early in his 2 year old career and is still making someone happy.
