Visiting Del Mar on Saturday

Heading down to S. Cal for business & family visit tomorrow.
Visiting Del Mar on Sat... been about 25yrs since my last visit.
How bad is traffic? Driving down from LAX Saturday morning.

Positive: Have good tickets
Negative: Have my wife with me.

Cheers

Bad, I would try and take the coaster if possible and use the free shuttle from Solana Beach station to and from the track.

^ this. It's a great train ride.

I went last Saturday and lucked out and we got there in 2.75 hours (from Santa Monica). Much faster on the way back. I've known it to take over 3.5 hours one way sometimes, and 2 at the shortest.

Driving is a pain and I thin it is $10 for parking. They had an ad on the back page of the DRF for a train or something to Del Mar from LA I think.

The drive was a breeze from LAX... under 2hrs.
Getting the hell out of Del Mar after the Pacific Classic was another story.

Fun & profitable day.

Cheers
