OVERDRIVEN

Repole , Pletcher cream of the crop.
anything can happen, but he looks tough here.

there's really only two things i'm watching here
  1. at the break - i want to see if he breaks standing up this time, without going down
  2. also at the break - will sanchez lean out with the 5 (especially if the 6 OVERDRIVEN goes to his knees)

he was head to head with the 4 in the stretch, hell i thought the 4 had a small lead. johnny hits him with the right, the horse leans into the 4, the 4 takes up / goes off stride a tad and overdriven pulls off. not even the thought of an inquiry, dont' want to piss pletcher off. you can have him and his loud mouth owner. of course now i have to listen to jeff siegal (insert your own word here) on HRTV for the next hour or so.

not even the best 2YO i've seen yet anyway

when i see 2 horses neck and neck and i see one of the 2 just pull up i tend to want an inquiry. Even if he didn't do it, i think he was the best horse he would have won but my gosh pretend like you aren't bias is my point.

not sure if there was an infraction or he just beat him to the spot. I'll have to watch the head-ons tonight. did see the Ward horse go to the wrong lead late.

It looked like overdriven broke fine , couldn't see for sure yet.

The only infraction in the race was the 4 out of the gate.

the 4 came over and knocked the 1 pretty good.

looking at the head-on i actually didn't see contact with the winner Overdriven around the turn or stretch.

you should check out the head on replay of the race. you can see why there was no inquiry. overdriven was straight as an arrow through the stretch. the 4, who was spent at that point, reacts to getting hit with the whip left handed and comes in, but overdriven was over a length clear at that point.

there was no bias, just no infraction.
