Big Race Day

Toga?
Del Mar?
Monmouth?
Foreign Stakes?

Pass.

I'll take the Claiming Crown - one of my favorite days of the year.

Always enjoy the Claiming Crown. Interesting handicapping--many trainer angles. I call it the "Juicer Crown" because of the prevalence of high percentage trainers. Also 50 cent tris are fun.

No Scott Lake this year. A few years back he had the favorite in almost every race. He may have won with one of them.

Since they have removed the turnstiles because admission is free all year, I don't know how they come up with attendance figures. A good guess would probably be programs sold. I guarantee I have never been counted despite having made several trips during live racing this year.
