On some versions of Firefox: EDIT > PREFERENCES > PRIVACY > ACCEPT COOKIES...

On Macs, I think that the Firefox preferences are found in the "FIREFOX" menu.

Just a heads up.

There's a plug-in for Firefox which also removes LSO's/Super Cookies which many sites are also using now.

If you are really concerned about cookies and other temp files, just run CCleaner (formerly Crap Cleaner) after your browsing session. It deletes those (and other space wasters) plus the Flash .sol files that wilderness mentioned.

Yep. There's also a great plugin by firefox specifically for cookies called Cookie Monster. Using Cookie Monster, you can go set the firefox options to not accept any cookies, then use the little Cookie Monster icon in the lower right hand corner of your browser while you are surfing to set which sites you allow cookies from. You can either accept cookies all the time for sites where you want to remain logged in, or you can accept session cookies where the cookies will be deleted from that particular site once you close firefox (for sites that require cookies to be set), or you can temporarily allow cookies for a site. It is wonderful, right up there with adblock plus and noscript (which requires some time to get set up also as you do it by site). Just make sure you delete all cookies after installing it since it is not retroactive and set your firefox not to accept cookies. If you do get noscript to go along with Cookie Monster, many times if a site is not working correctly you will have to temporarily allow scripts or cookies, its not that big of a deal.
