Aqueduct Plays April 18th

JOE KELLEY HANDICAPS AQUEDUCT APRIL 18TH, 2009

Couldn't ask for nicer weather today for Saturday's card and we have nice plays for you throughout the card. We give you our top contenders followed by their acceptable win odds in parantheses for a win wager. It's always key to make a betting line and stick with it. We know it's tough when you are at the track, simulcast center, or at home to really stay focused to your oddsline. But in the long run, this key factor will enable you to be a winner.

RACE 1: Very contentious race which we love.

# 2 WILD GEESE (9/2) ... In form and now gets a five pound break with the use of apprentice Santiago. Should be in nice position to overtake speed in stretch.

# 3 INTIYACO (8/1)... Our ears always perk up when a top jock takes over the mount with a questionable horse. Ramon D. signs up for a horse who is 0 for 5 in 6 furlong tries. Demand a price for this longshot.

# 4 NORTHERN DUKE (5/1)... Has early foot and you can throw out the last try due to trouble. Bruce Brown is 21% with second time claimers.

# 7 TRUE WOOD (4/1)... Always like a horse that led in the stretch and gave up lead and then comes back within 30 days. Early speed and Bruce Levine wins at phenomenal 28% with 3rd off layoff. Our top choice.
__________

RACE 2: State-bred fillies MSW where two horse can run to the early pars and a first timer intrigues us too.

# 1 TRUST N INTUITION (7/1) ... Trainer John Morrison will always have a fond spot in our heart for training one of our top winners at last Saratoga meet. He has a + 7.10 ROI with firsters.

# 4 WON TOKEN (3/1) ... Had been running in open company and then tried a state-bred stakes in the slop last out. Ran to the early pars for two calls and now gets The Mig.

# 5 JET'S TRADITION (3/1)... Gets a major jock upswing with Ramon D. Nice debut while running to early pars.
___________

RACE 5: One mile one turn maiden claimer

# 5 HUDSON PARKER (5/2) ... Speed of the speed and the long distance shouldn't be too bad.

# 7 SOONASIGETPAID (5/1)... A contentious bulldog who stayed in the fray last out and finished a respectable third. The added distance may help out.

# 10 ICE REVOLUTION (5/1)... The blinkers and drop into maiden claiming company should help. Nice outside post.

*** Additional play here is an exacta box of # 5 with 7, 10 ****
__________

RACE 6:

# 1 MUCH THE BEST (4/1) ... Blinkers are added which will be an asset in a race where there is not much genuine early speed.

# 2 BUDDY'S HOLIDAY.. (4/1) Don't think the inner oval was kind to this one and the return to the main track will improve his chances.

# 5 MONK'S CREEK (4/1) ... Second start since wintering in Florida. Lightlty raced colt so there may have been problems somewhere along the line.
___________

RACE 8:

# 2 WONDEROUS DAY (8/1) ... Should bounce back and gets blinkers back on.

# 3 ELTISH STAR (9/2) ... Talented but the closing style doesn't necessarily fit here.

# 6 PERSONAL GOOD (7/1)... Another one who should recover from a bad last out.

# 9 HURRICANE HEAT (4/1).. Asmussen is 29% with drop in class. May overpower field.
___________

RACE 10: Nice maiden grass race to end the card

# 1 PYNAFORMER (4/1)...Nice closing kick and Kelly brings them back off the shelf with healthy ROI.

# 3 O'KID (6/1)... Has talent. Only drawback is that the horse once ran in maiden claiming.

# 8 DANCING WILD... (15/1) Longshot alert. Has soft turf breeding and will be a price. Call the law.

# 9 COZY LION (7/2).. Ramon Dominguez is like a star NFL linebacker where you always have to know where he is on the field. Colt ships up from Gulfstream and will be ready to run.

# 12 STRAIGHT TO IT (8/1)... On the also-eligible, but if he gets in, he could surprise. The debut was a workout.
