Inner dirt track

Quick question...has a date been set for the return to the main track at Aqueduct?

The main track is not in the best of shape. I hope it makes it through the month

As long as it stays dry, it will make it, but if it gets wet it is trouble when drying out. They needed the slots money to fix it, but Albany has screwed that away....

Do you ever think they might extend Belmont a month in each direction and maybe install poly (hope Not) at AQU for the winter?

no winter racing at BEL or poly

No way, Belmont is not heated. They would run on the inner for six months before they extend the Belmont meet. Nor do I see poly track in NY. If anything they should install a dirt track with a drainage friendly base like the inner on the main track. Then convert the inner back to a turf course. They could run a summer meet at Aqueduct like they did when I was a kid.
