Imagine if you had bought Halliburton stock when Bush & Cheney took office. It was about $16/share in late Jan. 2001. Now its worth about $48......a three bagger and that doesn't even include dividends. Lets not forget that 2001 and 2002 were terrible years for the market and the last 6 months have been lousy. Most of us didn't invest in HAL but the handwriting was on the wall and we should've known this would happen.

How in the hell should we have known? Did you know? Did you think there was going to be an attack that would spur on a war? Did you think just because Bush and Cheney were elected you should buy up HAL stock? Obviously not? Please, Please tell me about the handwriting? Show me some real example?

Prior to Obama's win I would suggest investing in anything related to green. Or perhaps school supplies or medical related. Get out of your war companies. Just a few random guess's.

Companies that do the bulk of their business in China, Brazil, Russia and India. That's where the growth is. Not here. The companies can be American based, just as long as they aren't counting on the bulk of their revenues coming from North America.

If the Dems win, I would not want to be in defense companies like Raytheon or Teledyne. And when the Dems do win, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have done very well in the past.

Healthcare doesn't look good if any of the 3 win. And we know McCain is hell bent on ridding the world of evil off-shore wagering.

Only the most naive would tell themselves the fairy tale that its a coincidence the business the President's family has been for 50 years (oil) and the business the Vice President was in (oil services and support services) would make ridicolous amounts of money at the precise time both these men came to power. The odds of that are astronomical. Republican or Democrat, your ability to honestly evaluate facts is warped. You especially, who is about 10% as smart as you think you are, an ill informed know it all, and a compulsive topper, and a one better than everybody always type of guy. Thats the problem. I honestly evaluate facts. If you think anybody could have seen this war and oil prices spiking.......tell me why you didn't get rich on it? Fill me in?

You don't know me. You should have called me fat too. I am down about 35 lbs since Xmas. So take your shot while you can.

I have quite a nice life. And I don't have to justify myself to you. And yes, I work for myself, when I want to work. But mostly I play the horses and do whatever I want. Been married 22 years, no kids and very happy. I am not isolated, I travel often and have a great time. Play some music now and then, write a little and take care of my rental property. I have met a few people on this board and they know me. You don't. So for the record..........go to hell!
