CHURCHILL FRIDAY 5/4 RACE 1
5. COPY MY NOTES: Owns a pair of wins in eight starts over the Churchill strip and comes into this even off a win. Has not been worse than second in three starts this year at Oaklawn and is versatile enough to sit near the pace if need be. Trainer Robert Holthus is hitting with 21 percent of his runners who won their previous start.
4. SKIPPY DUE: Has not been worse than third in his last nine starts and has three wins in that span against slightly lesser. Concern is that this son of Devil His Due has never hit the board in three runs at Churchill. Should have relatively easy fractions to sit behind giving this one a shot through the lane.
6. THUNDER MISSION: Is a perfect 2-2 going the mile distance and does own a win at Churchill. Concern is that this one has no early speed at all and will need some help on the front end.
8. DEPUTY GLITTERS: Is clearly the class in the field having won a pair of graded stakes last year. This one may be over bet and is 0-2 at the distance and 0-1 at Chrchill, running eighth in last year’s Kentucky Derby.
