Declan's Moon - on the Comeback Trail ..working out like a horse on a mission
Watch the entries. His connectons have been Relentless with the horse. Been working him for months ...We shall see. I think the horse was unbeaten before he was sidelined with an injury.

2yos that don't improve when they return at 3 are amongst the best bet againsts in all of racing. I will happily bet against this guy each and every time he shows up, as he will always be a shortish price due to his 2yo accomplishments.

They might find a weak enough spot for him first time out, but I'm with you. I can't wait to bet against this horse again.

WOuld that throw off your observation? Does it matter if he made a start at 3?

Horse ran like crap. I never pay attention to the trainers. They are optimists, not realists. Or even better, they are full of shit trying to keep an owner happy. The top figure horse won the race at 13 to 1, fyi.

Some days, you're the windshield, some days you're the bug.
Yesterday, my wipers were humming.
I love hype horses who are way over the hill.

This horse continues to run poorly, but still went off the 5-2 favorite in a Grade II Stakes race. Horses like this one and the 3-1 Bond horse in the Count Fleet at Aqu yesterday are what make this game beatable.

Record
Isn't betting a layoff horse's old record like closing the barn door after the horse left?

Depends on the price you are getting now, doesn't it?

DMR is a throw out and HOL wasn't exactly a "bum run". Both races warranted the odds off. Yesterdays race he probably should have been 9-2. Citing this as "making the game beatable" seems a tad dramatic
