Catholic Church and illegal aliens

The Catholic church is demanding amnesty for all illegals.
Does this violate speration fo church and state?
Should the Catholic church forfeit it's tax exempt status to pay the tab for this?

I've notified the IRS about a local minister who has openly campaigned and backed various candidates from the pulpit. From bush to the new mayor of y-town. In close races, his backing could have made a difference. The mayor's opponent had been a past adversary to the minister over clashes of bringing casinos to the area. The IRS Agent that I spoke to seemed to be clueless that this is not legal, so I'm sure nothing was done.

I was attending services at an evangelical church prior to the last election. The Pastor said during his sermon. "that democratic candidate is not a christian." Did not name any spefic candidate just insinuating all Democrats are not christians. Does this qualify as politics from the pulpit ?

I don’t know about upstate NY, but in So Cal it’s a large portion of their congregation - congregations give to the offering plate - offering plates keep the Church alive. Push come to shove: It's a symbiotic faith based operation.

No, I agree with Bala. 100%
And what you do for the lesser, pay for yourself.
The Catholic church is advocating crimes - they should be forced to pay thier fair share.
I have already been urging people to drop pre-printed letters in the collection plates locally - printed at my expense

"Your stand on illeal imigration is costing this country billions of dollars. My taxes make it impossible for me to finance your political busllshit any more. Please be advised you may stick this plate where it ain't been blessed."

What the Catholic Church advocated in Poland during the Russian occupation was considered a crime. They closed the Churches..Imprisoned the Priests and the church survived. Today Poland and the the rest of eastern Europe is free..Thanks to the Catholic Church and Ronald Reagan.

God Bless them both.

I answered Yes (unless I was Diebolded) because I think no church should have tax exempt status. Just want to clarify it is not because of this issue per se.
