HOY discussion thread
LAVA MAN, the one time claimer, now sits atop the handicap divsion,withh two grade1 victories thus far in 2006, one on dirt and the whittingham on turf. he tries (ha!) to add to his tally this weekend, while taking on four others in the Hollywood gold cup, at
hollyrock park, soon to be (pollywood park). This could be the Horse of the year we are watching as the division is wide open this year, with three horses at the mid year point all with two grade 1 wins,
BRASS HAT with wins in the new orleans handicapp, and the donn, along with his 2nd, opps, i mean third in the DWC (the shiek decided to keep his money and since we left town he wasn't going to mail it !)
and we cannot forget, INVASOR. Not since the other noteable son of CANDY STRIPES, CANDY RIDE,who took the Pacific classic in 2003 in record time, has the racing world been all aflutter, INVASOR, has grade 1 wins in the Pimlico special and the Suburban held this past 4th of july weekend. should be an interesting race for horse of the year,
