With the rail out 15 feet I'd like to see a solid frontrunner in here to take them all the way. No such luck.

The lead looks like #6 ROMAN JAKE who did OK in his turf debut and has worked nicely since, but he doesn't come home like one that will enjoy routing.

The other sprinter stretching out, #9 CHARMVICTOR won his debut on the turf like a good thing, and he gets some trainer angles in his favor, and Nakatani stays on. He has worked back nicely also. He's my pick.

Don't dismiss #2 CHARBONNIER, who has a nice forward moving line, has worked back nicely for Harty, and should get a perfect trip...at a price.

That leaves the three that Mr. ML Maker likes, looking for consolation awards. Could be wrong tossing Ken W's pick but I'll take my chances.

I'm going with Roman Jake, even though his breeding and trainer stats say he shouldn't get the distance period or produce in his first route under Harrington's tutelage. He looks to me to be the fittest horse in the race being this is his 3rd off a layoff. 2 sprints to the route. What I fancy is how he's being brought around "old school" to begin his 3yo season. He began the year on April 24, drilled 10 days later & raced again 10 days after that in his turf debut. If that wasn't active enough, he drilled again 8 days later and 7 days after that. He's been a busy boy. If nothing else he should be fit & is worth a shot in the contest.
