Picks for Belmont Sunday:
R1 #3 Epic-Looks like another short priced Dutrow favorite again. Drop looks suspicious, but Dutrow wins a high percentage of races with droppers like this and his frequent drills this month seem to indicate his soundness may be ok.
R2 #6 Sydsational-May prove to be a timely claim if she takes this. Tried real hard against the odds on favorite in her last race while pushing a solid pace. Pace picture looks rosier here, if she’s able to clear early she could be tough.
R3 #1 Just A Little Jet-Gets the rail and the bugboy, so I expect to see her on the lead today. Can handle this field if she can run back to her GP maiden breaker.
R4 Pass
R5 #6 Positively Wild-Looks like she’s coming around. Race seems to be setting up well for her late running style.
R6 #3 Calculator-ML fav starting to look a little vulnerable here. I’m hoping this runner can pick up the pieces late as the pace looks to be honest here.
R7 #2 Song of the Saints-Have her to catch. Might be tough if she can clear early.
R8 #8 Thunder Touch-Breeding says he should like the turf. As honest as they come he’s been running in some tough sprint races on the dirt.
R9 #1 The Queen’s Stamp-Another one bred to love the turf. Barn has been having a great meet so far, and she should get a good trip in here.
