Kentucky Oaks - Paradise Woods
Based on her last race she's a cinch, right?
"Not so fast my friend"
-Lee Corso
First, the lead will not be hers. In fact, it may be very fast and crowded up there. She could get caught up in an early war.
Second, and here we go again, BUTS...she made her debut on Jan26, which means she didn't race as a 2yr old
Can anyone tell me the last filly to win the Oaks with no juvenile experience?
Others offer more value, like Miss Sky Warrior or Abel Tasman or even a bomb like Ever So Clever or Mopotism
Gonna step out and try to beat this heavy chalk

At the price she may be a bet against but I don't think Mandella brings her here unless a top effort is expected. The second best horse drew post 13. PW should like a wet track as well.
I say let the coronation begin. This horse looks special.

A little help from anyone out there as to who has the best thomlinson numbers for the wet? Looking to not only best the favorite but looking for a couple of live horses to play the Oak/Derby double. I am a little "cheap" and can't see spending $18 on the form for today and tomorrow just to make a couple of DD and pic3's from the Oaks/Derby races. Thanks for any help.

So far nobody is closing. If Paradise gets out early she will be tough. But the price will be too short.

I do think she is the horse to beat. I will try to do it with #14 SALTY.

upthecreek - I sincerely wish you the best of luck on your doubles as I sit here at my desk with a 4,13/8,15 dd ticket in front of me. Looks like $82 for McCrak and $148 for Hence. Also 2 horses I do not have to cover on top tomorrow. I thought that Gunnevera was taking some early Derby money and may cover if this holds up. I also have the Crak in futures exactas with the field which might help cover the shorter DD. Good luck tomorrow and to all those who are also live. Hope to see you all at the cashiers windows.
