He is my win bet depending on the odds. No win bet under 15-1.

why does he come up interesting. he has an outside post, and unless he shows some early foot he'll be in back w/ all the other closers that can actually close.

horse hasn't made a move all year..but he'll have tr make one in the KD to hit the board from out there.

Good question, I think Nyquis is the horse to beat, but this guy is the value because he shouldn't be way back with the deep closers and the speed in the race should pressure Nyquist to make a early move, this guy looks to be peaking to me. I could be wrong it wouldn't be the first time .......

He is one of two presser I think could get the trip. Outwork being the other. His last race he was further back but look at the prior races . Within 1 to 3 lengths of the leader at the stretch and usually within a length. Not the greatest post but not the worst. Others are faster but this is a free for all with 20 horses darting around. Who is to say he does not get a better trip than some of the speed?

why do you think he's peaking...he's run the same ground saving race every race this year w/ <8 runner in each of them.

The Puppy Predictors say Mor Spirit will win this year.
Last year, they correctly picked American Pharoah to win.

Come on now, that is better than many of us here can do!

I think Baffert and Stevens have been bringing this very honest horse up to this race perfectly, its not like they haven't been down this road before. A very smart man once told me only somebody that's been down a road can tell whats down there.......

by perfectly you mean disguising the horses inability to win as grounds for not trying and they didn't want to win..hence,....he'll run better next time.

i don't buy any of that...

and from post 17 he'll have to make multiple moves to hit the board, especially if he's hurried out... and if he doesn't show foot he'll have to out close horses who's main means is to do just that.

outclosing closers flanked all around doesn't seem like good bet..and leaving and making moves is not is strong suit..most likely he will compromised doing something he's not good enough to do vs the best.

I don't get the enthusiasm for this entrant.

http://fairborndailyherald.com/sport...ith-mor-spirit

“ 'Expectations might be a little bit lower,' Baffert said. 'Turning for home if he’s right there I know he’ll fight and get a piece of it.'

Notice he didn’t say win."

everything i said was correct. i've seen plenty of that regurgitated nonsense about mor spirit. but if you watch the races and see the pp..there's a pretty solid pattern of the horse..and none of it screams "coming into his own" "sitting on a big one" or "primed for a big one"

what he does have going for him is that he's been keeping good company w/ the cali horses and finishing up well enough to put the van in vanilla

at least tell me he was close enough to the pace in the SA when it compromised his ability to win..but lets be serious..he was lucky to beat uncle lino, who had the trip from hell
