How to Remove Amazon.com Browser Hijack

I've tried ByteFence Anti-Malware and Hitman Pro without success.

I use Windows 10.

My computer has really slowed down and now I now why.

Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately AdwCleaner did not eliminate the browser hijacker.

Sorry to hear that. I also use MalwareBytes Anti-Malware to clean browser infections along with MalwareBytes Anti-Exploit to detect and clean malware. I don't know what your anti-virus apps are but these two are compatible with other anti-virus apps.

MalwareBytes Anti-Exploit

MalwareBytes Anti-Malware

This site suggests using the aforementioned tools but in a particular order and after making some changes to the browser(s) first.

Thanks Bob!

The SearchReset add-on for Firefox seemed to be the key missing piece for me.

Good news, glad it worked. That's a pretty slimy hijack.

The answer is neither.

I had been using my new laptop for weeks before the problem surfaced.
