Need Atlantic City Advice
My wife and I are going to Atlantic City tomorrow night and I had 3 questions, since we do not go there all that often
1) We are staying in the AC Hilton, but I see they have no racebook. My question is, is there anywhere online that shows what each casino is offering in the way of simo?
2) Do any or most of the casinos keep low limit craps tables throughout the night ($5)?
3) I play texas holdem poker online, but have yet to play in person. So I wanted to start out light. Any suggestions on casinos to go to like this?

I was there 4 months ago. If my memory serves me right... Trump Tajmahal race book and poker room share the same space.. ideal for you if your double dipping
Borgata.. The new casino.. a must see for you... and also the new Trump Marina casino. The taj was beat up when I was there but like I said... ponies and poker in the same room..
Ballys had the superior race book for asthetics and ease of play...

1) Nope, no place online. They however pretty much take anything. If you call up the casino that you'll be playing at and ask for the racebook, they'll be happy to go over the schedule for you.
Word of advice: Avoid the Caesars racebook. $2 and $5 bettors there aren't really welcomed (my fav is Ballys Park Place).
2) $5 limit tables usually last into the night from Monday to Thursday, but they'll be limited. Trying to find a $5 table on a Friday or the weekends is like trying to find soul food at a KKK rally.
3) The lightest tables that they'll have are the "$1 to $5" tables. Timing is everything in regards to getting a seat at the cheap tables at nighttime.

Trop is good , very close to the Hilton, you can take a short stroll up the boarwalk. I was there for 4 nights in may. They have $2 /$4 Texas Holdem tables. I was able to play Holdem, watch the Flyers Lightning game and play the races at EVD , ALL AT THE SAME TIME, you can't beat that.
The $5 craps table you will probably find on WED - THur there , but may disapeer Friday Night.
Borgata has a poker Room / Race Book in the same general area, and $2 / $4 Holdem games are available. The race book is nice but small.

I was just there a month ago and wanted to echo was Zafonic just said, the Tropicana is good for low limit players during the week, looked like they had alot of 2/4 hold em tables and they have a tournament every night of the week at 7pm, sign up is at 6pm I think. Racebook is within view of every table on that side of the room, not from the hi-limit side though. I can't reccomend the hotel and am sorry I stayed there, the gaming was good, but the hotel overall left alot to be desired. During the week this is your best bet for low limit games for sure.

I really like the Bally's simo (the one on the 4th or 6th floor)..
I wanted to check out the Borgata, but I heard winning there is very tough.. (table games)

Yes the simo room on the 6th Floor ( Billy's ) is probably the best in AC. They also have a poker room in the back there, but I never checked it out.
SQ, why do you feel table games are harder to win at the Borgata ? All table games carry the same vig basically. I do not believe they vary ???

I was out there in August.
Bally's and Bally's Wild West were the recommended Race Books.
I thought they were both excellent facilities with BWW having a slight edge.

The Drinks are Free
At WWW.
I consider this a positive over Park Place. Great thing is, you can walk from one to the other without being mugged. They are interconnected. Park Place is and has been since it opened around 94, the best racebook in the town. The others are not even close.

Lately there have been as many muggings inside the hotels as opposed to outside. Especially in the Hotel Room corridors.
