Windows 10 Box in Tray

I use Windows7 and have no interest in Windows10. I have a square white box touting Windows10 in my laptop's tray. How do I get rid of it? I'm afraid to click on it figuring Microsoft will put me on the path to something I don't want.

Double thanks. I've been meaning to do the same for the same basic reason but keep forgetting to poke around until I found the thing for hiding the tray icons. I had no excuse anymore when I read this.

You're both welcome. A few weeks ago I was trying to find out why one of my tired old computers wasn't showing the white W10 icon so I tricked Windows 7 into showing it only to find out that my computer's hardware wouldn't support W10.

IT WON'T GO AWAY LIKE A BAD RASH

and the little bugger keeps coming back even after using the task manager to shut it down.

There are several methods to remove it. The task manager is not a permanent removal.
