The race may be for 2nd if Majestic Harbor repeats his first two starts in blinkers. This one was struggling for Sean McCarthy before being sent to Paul McGee this winter. He was no threat at the Fair Grounds Feb 21, but came alive to beat Classified Allowance stock when blinkers were added April 4. He returned vs. similar to score another big win April 25 and is now returned to the Graded Stakes ranks. The numbers from his last two wins suggest that he has this group over a
barrel. However, he’s switching from dirt to turf while being stretched way out to 12 furlongs and those changes may challenge him. He still gets the HF 15 as the only really sharp horse. Only Golden Soul and For Greater Glory are not up in class for this and both come off sub-par efforts. ‘Soul has been freshened three months and did win twice on this course in November. The return to Churchill makes him the first alternative while the latter is another main-track type. His March 12 win came in the slop and his connections may be hoping for the kind of thunder storms that hit Pimlico a week ago. Xtra Luck is up in class, but can get the trip and figures to be prominent early. The rest appear to be in way too tough.
