The first instance of US/Saudi support of Muslim extremist involved the Muslim Brotherhood, they were supported to counter Nasser in Egypt whose Nationalist/socialist ideals were making the US/Saudis very nervous.So it began. The Saudis financing the Madrassas that promote Wahhabi Islam which is the sect that produces the fanatics. And the US attempting to use them for geopolitical advantage.This tactic spiraled out of control after They deployed them against the USSR in Afghanistan,Frankenstein's monster is running amok now,but it exist ONLY because of US/Saudi foreign policy bungling,ISLAM itself is not the cause.

US foreign policy in the region has been horrific, but radical Islam would have existed anyway. These guys are a cancer on humanity. And like a cancer, it must be killed or it will kill you.

On some level we must exterminate the ones that already exist and on another we must change our policies so that we do nothing to expand their recruitment efforts or create even more of them. That feels kind of tricky.

Two things bug me.

1. We are going to keep hearing about how it's such a small percentage of Muslims that are causing the problem. That's bullshit. It may be a small percentage actively engaged in terrorism and violence, but there's a huge number that are silently rooting for them. Plus the violent ones are widespread because the west keeps allowing them to immigrate.

2. When our president encourages illegal immigration over our southern border, it annoys me because our country already has severe long term financial issues, a lack of good jobs etc.. We don't need more under-educated and low skilled workers coming here and being an economic drain on the US. It's not a disaster because it's a short/medium term problem. They will eventually educate, move up the economic ladder, and things will probably be OK.

If he starts defending immigration of Muslims with some politically correct hogwash, I'm going to go ballistic. X% of these people are OBVIOUSLY incompatible with western culture, democracy, and everything this country and most of the west has ever stood for. It's a long term problem. Inviting ANY of them here is dumber than a rock. X% of even a small number is too many when we are talking about violent psychopaths. To make the point, supposedly 150 AMERICANS were freaking crazy enough to leave the US and help ISIS. If you let that scum back in the country YOU deserve to be deported.

Hilaire Belloc warned of this in the '30's.

It's tough to balance welcoming the foreigner who has legitimate reasons to enter the U.S., while necessarily placing conditions on the immigrant's duties toward the U.S. (respecting our material and spiritual heritage, lawful obedience, civic duties, etc.)

I suspect there is a majority of Muslims who would fit in with the above, especially the youth who would culturally assimilate, with significant portions being only nominal Muslims, and significant others who wouldn't object at all to a theocracy.
