Because Hillary is protected by media, they circle the wagons when it comes to protecting their political partners.
Brian Williams works for a corporation which has to be a little more responsible, and also other media outlets smell blood in the water and don't want to miss a chance to take down a competitor. They're opportunists. CNN is going all out with this. They're hypocrites of course. Williams is expendable, they can stick someone else in that slot who is also on board with the program. There is no shortage of willing applicants to step in. No need wasting any capital defending him.
Atkisson wasn't protected either, she was deemed a problem and government went after her, spied on her and others at Fox and the media was fine with all that. If you're not on board with the Washington-Big government-media complex then you're deemed a whack job, racist, or worse.
