Madrid Bobming 911 Days Since 9/1
I heard ealier today that the bombing in Madrid was exactly
911 days after 9/1.
Not sure if this is just one of the those Lincoln/Kennedy
type coinicidences but if so it is odd on a very tragic day.

I'll be on a train tomorrow heading to Pompei. It is very sad what happened in Spain, more casualties than the Oklahoma City bombing. However, I refuse to let terrorists dictate my travel plans.
For the libs, what should we do now? No need for war, eh?

This is a horrible, horrible thing.
Perhaps the world is not a safer place. At least Sadam is locked up this time and probably wasn't responsbile for this so we won't be reinvading Iraq. LBJ's question is a good one. Who will we be bombing?

How about getting every decent nation together and going after bin Laden in Pakistan for starters.
It is not going to matter who is in the White House, or who is the president of any other country......these Muslim extemists want everyone wiped off the face of the earth but themselves.
Saudi Arabia needs to be cleaned out as well as that cesspool, Yemen.
Anyone who is thinking 9/11 was just a lucky one shot strike by these madmen, obviously was mistaken......as long as countries like Saudi Arabia are teaching children to hate others in their schools, these bin Laden types are going to just keep coming to terrorize us.
I never thought I would be typing such statements.......but I am.
I never thought I would have a fearful feeling when my son has to fly around on planes, but I do.
I never thought I would be retired and fearful to travel abroad, but I am.

If people don't think that our actions in Iraq and Afghanistan have NOT had any deterent effects on potential terrorist attacks (especially in the USA), said people would have to be classified as nuts.
For instance, has there been a single attack inside the US since 9/11??? No, there has not. Have there been attacks elsewhere? Yes, many.
The United States has the means and the motive to search out and strike at any terrorist cell in the world. We should be funding and mobilizing all of our secret "Black Ops" and special forces units to seek out and destroy any and all recognized terrorist operations, NOT MATTER what country they have taken refuge in. Iraq should be our base of operations now that we have that country under our control for the time being.
Enough pussy footing around. I'm starting to get with Tom on this one. We need to do a lot MORE in the war on terror, as Bush likes to call it.
And for all those who don't think retaliation is necessary for attacks against the United States, I have a link for you that fellow PA guy Melman sent me...it's a sobering reminder....

Pompei- Great trip! Great drinks near the station! / 17 knapsacks- Very organized./ WWho do we invade/ WWho do we go to war against? WWho do we bomb??? if Kerry was in office, that will be his aswer to all terrorist acts! A 1993 WTC bomber was being sentenced in NYC court the morning of 9/11. No response to the Cole by the Demos. Lybia just started playing nice after the Demos left the White House with all those "W" computer keys! Who do we go to war against? Simple- Everybody!! ETA, Italy's Red Brigade, the Sunnis, Iran, the boys at Gitmo, undocumented aliens, the ACLU, any Muslims or any religiouis grouips that send any money outside the USA. Any USA companies who outsource over 50% of labor, any govt official at any level who knowingly violates the law! A lot of those I mentioned you can hit in the pocketbook- all are intending to disrupt USA life or freedom. / I live in Ca, so I see many hundreds of illegals whose eyes are redded out, and mannerisms make it obvious tney are driving while way to stoned on weed to even walk!

Sec, you and LBJ are using this attack to take back handed pot shots at the President and his policy. You can't really expect an immediate answer to your question? But you can be sure that since the President of Spain is a 100% allie in this war, as soon as our FBI team and the Spanish government determines a link to any group, The President of Spain can pick up the phone and call our President for help in eliminating the group. That is how it works. Somewhere someone is digging a spider hole. The fact this is a global effort with those allies who had the foresight to join our effort in Iraq and Afghanistan, provides a strength of resources and firepower that Spain would not have on their own. The President of Spain recognizes the ferocity that will be necessary to defeat these animals and the fact that there is only one country in the world that can wage the appropriate war against these parties, and he joins us in the battle. His country will benefit from it. The rest of the world appeases these idiots or fails to respond in an appropriate manner. Those policies of the 90's have wrought todays battle. President Ronald Reagan set the example for the appropriate response when he blew the hell out of Mohammer Quadafi. Shamefully the true enemies of this country line the halls of Congress searching for their spines when it comes to these animals. I expect the FBI and Spanish authorities to identify individuals and possibly foreign governments who facilitated these bombings in Spain. Then the B-1's and B-2's can fire up and destroy whomever is responsible, no matter where they reside. This action will be undertaken in the name of Spain and those people who were effected by these attacks. In a common cause that is obviously right and just, no matter the naysayers.

So Cal..... glad to see you are moving a little to my side of the aisle. We aren't all bad......you know?
You are exactly right. I have been reading between the lines for at least three months when it comes to listening to the rhetoric of our mouth pieces. It sounds to me like Mr. Bin Laden is surrounded and my friends in the 82nd Airborne tell me that he is corralled in an area less than ten square miles wide, in bad weather. The Dems will scream that Bush is just waiting to bring him in for political gain. Does it matter either way? I have seen a picture of a friend of a friend who is on horse back in Afghanistan searching for this bastard. He was able to rotate back home 3 months ago and asked to stay to finish the mission. He is a 29 year old man who has a sense of duty and dedication to country that is amazing. I for one am very glad that we still produce these young people. They are willing to travel and traverse the toughest terrain and continue the mission with a focus that is unshakeable. I am told that whenever they get down they think about those people who jumped out the windows of the Trade Towers. It is a sobering time period in our history. But I am confident that our country can overcome these animals.
It is a different world, that not one person of your generation could have envisioned. I hope that our leaders learn from what has been wrought. I can't say it enough. There is absolute right and wrong in the world and we must stand up for what is right. Standing up for it means "Peace through Strength" and believing we are right!

PA,
I watch that video every week at least once.
I don't ever want to be complacent again and I don't ever want to forget. I dpon't watch it to fuel my anger but to remeber the sorrow and shock and fear.
Like the horror that befell Spain yesterday, innocnet people of the world are being preyed upon by pure evil. the islamic menace must be stopped and and nation that harbors terroists must be destroyed.
I agree with SoCal....it is long past time for a new world order to emerge and trascend borders to find and destroy the evil. Spain and England our allies and as such are now at risk of retaliation.
Sorry Arabia supplies more money and manpower to the terrorist than any other nation and yet we let them exist without recourse?
It is damn well time that we do what is right and not what is politcally correct.
This German court that ordered a new trial for the terrorist the other day - it is time to address Germany once again, for the third time. Terroists do not deserve trials and have no rights.
And Pakistan....come on. they are harboring Bin Laden and everyone knows it. It is time to break out the nukes and send a message to that area that they will never forget. Close counts wtih nukes.
