Favorites OTB in S Jersey?

Can it possibly be true after all these years? And right around the corner from where I live. By summer. There's a big church right past the Stone Grille, they could well be an obstacle.

On Blackwood-Clementon Rd near Laurel Gloucester Twp
I saw the article was from January, a friend told me they may have hit a snag.

Penn National Gaming is working on building that site. Hopefully Drazin and Gural will act a little quicker on building out the ones they have planned. They are needed in this state due to the revenue stream they produce.

Gural has to be losing his shirt in Bayonne. If he builds another one soon you can bet it will have to be in a more accessible spot.

While gural is building a new grandstand at the Meadowlands Drazin and Co. built a miniature golf course. I wonder which one will generate the most revenue?

He said they cannabilized about 15% revenue from Favorites in Woodbridge. He was a litle ticked that Bayonne OTW only brings in about $3.7M/mo and was expecting more, but the Staten Islands residents don't want to pay the darn $13 bridge tolls. Can't blame them.

A call and email to the company behind Favorites, Penn National Gaming based in Wyomissing, Pa., was not immediately returned. Multiple attempts to contact the company regarding progress at the facility have not been returned in recent months.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

you'd think they'd want as much free publicity as they can get for this new venture?

maybe they were afraid of tough questions about chambersburg, johnstown, williamsport, hazleton...... the growing graveyard of pennsylvania off tracks?

maybe they'll do better in a more densely populated area though?

good luck!!

I'm happy for you but unhappy for me.

This location means anybody coming from Cherry Hill or north has to take 295 to 42. That's a deal breaker.

I'd like to go out and play once in a while in NJ but this location isn't convenient either.

It looks as if Hillsborough will be up and running soon, the local residents don't like the fact there will be an OTW in their town but they can't really do much about it!

They really need to open an OTW somewhere in the Ramsey area if possible. The drive from up there down to the Meadowlands is a bit of a distance and 17 can be a pain depending on the time of day. Plus, you can get some money from people in the Nanuet/Nyack area who would prefer to avoid the surcharge at their local otbs.

Gural won't allow it to happen the OTW's cannot be within 20 miles of the racetracks. Mahwah is an area that may have an OTW sooner or later.

I contacted Penn National Gaming and there was a report at Nj.com they were shooting for 6/25,but not set in stone Sounds like they are having problems with final inspections
