I read it several times my favorite story was the guy sponging horses at Churchill.Also talks about Holy Bull....great read..

Yes, he did great research on this.
I knew about the Ron Hansen story, and he did a good job on that strange story.
I was at Hollywood Park the day Bobby Unger got murdered in Inglewood, I had seen him and Richie("FINGERS") Skyler were at HP that day.
Unger hit for over $70K, got murdered after he left the track.
There were some strange characters at the track in those days.
Interesting stuff.
