So, let me see...many Kaliforniaanns are green-conscious, earth-conscious and environment-conscious, and so consume less gasoline which is killing the planet. And their reward from their eminently fair-minded government is to raise the taxes to make up for the revenue shortfall? I wonder what would happen if everyone in the state boycotted their own gas-driven vehicles for a week? Would the state, then, raise the fares on public transportation and also raise the sales tax to make up for the loss of revenue?
