Prove that Lockheed Martin was not the low bidder or that it was not the firm best able to fulfill the contract at a slightly higher cost. What you are suggesting is that a firm should not make charitable contributions because a charity and a government agency might have officers in common. Of course Hillary Clinton was not an officer of the Clinton Foundation while Secretary of State. She just happened to be married to someone who was.

Accusation:
When President Obama nominated Comey to become FBI director in 2013, Comey promised the United States Senate that he would recuse himself on all cases involving former employers.

But Comey earned $6 million in one year alone from Lockheed Martin. Lockheed Martin became a Clinton Foundation donor that very year.

Facts: The year that he earned $6,000,000 was 2010, the last year he worked for Lockheed Martin, and three years before Obama nominated Comey to become FBI Director.

How much Comey earned at Lockheed Martin has nothing to do with his promise to recuse himself from cases involving his former employers. The only question which needs to be answered her is, did he recuse himself when any cases involving those employers came up? Hillary's emails is not a case involving Lockheed Martin and their contributions to the Clinton Foundation does not make it one.

All of this is a perfect example of Post hoc ergo propter hoc. "After this therefore because of this."

The 18 minutes of tape was not why Nixon was forced to resign. That silly poster is a false equivalency.

The Nixon administration had a substantial record of abuse of power. The break-in by Nixon's operatives at the Watergate was not simply an isolated felony. When it was all over, 69 people were indicted, with trials or pleas resulting in 25 being found guilty and incarcerated. Many of those indicted were Nixon's top administration officials. There was little doubt Nixon would be impeached - by the time he resigned, the Articles of Impeachment had been prepared - and convicted in the trial by the Senate. He resigned to avoid the stain of being the only president thrown out of office.

This is the general explanation for what happened to Nixon.

The affair began with the arrest of five men for breaking and entering into the DNC headquarters at the Watergate complex on Saturday, June 17, 1972. The FBI investigated and discovered a connection between cash found on the burglars and a slush fund used by the Committee for the Re-Election of the President (CRP), the official organization of Nixon's campaign. In July 1973, evidence mounted against the President's staff, including testimony provided by former staff members in an investigation conducted by the Senate Watergate Committee. The investigation revealed that President Nixon had a tape-recording system in his offices and that he had recorded many conversations.

After a protracted series of bitter court battles, the U.S. Supreme Court unanimously ruled that the president was obligated to release the tapes to government investigators, and he eventually complied. These audio recordings implicated the president, revealing he had attempted to cover up activities that took place after the break-in and to use federal officials to deflect the investigation. Facing near-certain impeachment in the House of Representatives and equally certain conviction by the Senate, Nixon resigned the presidency on August 9, 1974. On September 8, 1974, his successor, Gerald Ford, pardoned him.
