Race 4 is the type of race that I often take a swing at - usually try to find a reason to beat the favourite....

SO, the 4 is 7-5 ML - seems to have a lot going for it - good figs, the big drop from MSW, and a rough trip going a mile 2 back. Add in a positive rider change from his last, and I can see this guy being a single on a lot of tickets.

That said, I think I will watch the early betting, paddock view on TV, etc for #7. Two mediocre route tries against MSW, and now takes the drop off an 8 week break. The works are good, trainer does okay with horses off a layoff, and the blinkers go on.

Not a ton of pace in here on paper, could be a very tactical race...

Race 4: The 1. I see pace, 4 is vulnerable (3&6 can annoy). 5 is most likely but for value, I'll take the 1. 1-5

Race 3: The 2 is so loose, I can't pick against, despite short price. 231

Race 2: Just smell Rudy losing but only see that happening if the 5 quarter horses for a 1/4. What jock quarter horses at NYRA? I'll take another frieken chalk. 463

Race 1: I just can't bet Katie Davis. 2's price is too short. I'm between the 5&4 4&5. Selecting the 4.

Speed horse has a habit of folding in the stretch, like a cheap card table. Hoping he hangs on today.
