Judging the 1st quarter times has changed since the introduction of the new starting point at Yonkers.
Someone asked me for the new BPQ, so based on 350 races, here's what I have.
The faster 1st quarters is apparent.
Yonkers average 1stQ and F Times.
Year 2011 is for 1-1/16 mile races.
2008...28.45...116.85
2009...28.40...116.65
2010...28.21...115.81
2011...27.41...122.63.....(Equivalent to 115.42)
New Breaking Point Quarter Percentage.

23.78% AveQ1% as percent Prorated Mile .. 16/17 x real final time
0.39% StdDev
23.39% BPQ (Ave minus one StdDev)
