Anyone know what banamine is and why it would be banned?

Sound like a type of decongestant to me,but not sure.Interesting that Lake sez vet must of made a mistake, but doesn't whine and accepts the suspension.Sounds more like a stand up guy than a cheat.

Banamine is the brand name for the drug flunixin. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and an Association of Racing Commissioners International (ARCI) class 4 drug with Class 1 being the class with the heaviest penalties and class 4 having the lightest penalties.
The drug is an analgesic but does cause ulcers as do most "NSAIDs." It is frequently used to help a "sick" horse feel better!
