Here is what I found interesting. It says that if the individual mandate is removed that insurance premiums would go up by 10 percent. SO WHAT! Premiums are going up 20 percent or more every year. A 10 percent increase is nothing. Democrats make it out as if the individual mandate is removed millions will not be able to afford coverage. Now we know that is a crock of bull. If people are absorbing 20-45 percent increases now, they can absorb another 10 percent to get rid of that horrendous tax. The government should never tell people what they can or can't buy or you owe the government more money.

I was under the impression the rates would skyrocket by possibly 50 percent or more if the mandate is gone.

They are both retired. How much can they be making a year in pensions as to not qualify for subsidies.
