I'm a little surprised that McWicked is the favorite over He's Watching. Like you said, He's Watching has the better record on a half. He's having a good season, has good speed, and he looks like he is well suited for a half mile based on his 2 year old NYSS season.

I told my friends and those in here now, that I am crossing my fingers that Friskie Adam gets an inside post. He is a tough competitor on the Ohio circuit that possesses both gate speed and endurance. I am looking for him to draw well and be part of the exotic ticket.

Had to check if he was in recently and he is in tonight at Scioto Downs. This is his tuneup race prior to the Jug. He last raced on August 9th, almost a month ago. He is a perfect 8 for 8 so far.

Do not be dismayed at his effort last night at ScD. It was with almost a month off and this race was more of a tightener. I recall Fake Left shipping to ScD for the Jug Preview and had his race win streak broken as he finished 7th out of 7 horses entered. He went on to win the Jug.

Attached is the chart of the race last night. Friskie Adam will be better having that race under his belt and the Jug is only 11 days away.

Ideal Fashion was horrible today at Tioga in a cheap condition. It would amaze me if he actually raced in the Jug as he would be 500 - 1. Jet Airway is not handy and although he has some speed isn't one I would put in the mix. It looks like it will be a 3 or 4 horse race by the looks of it. Not really a race to look forward to with excitement this year for myself.

Still have not decided on the second round of the Jug future...might just go with the Cane Winner and hope he draws inside.

You like those 20/1 shots eh Bob? :)

26..27-3...28...28-1

Does that win make him Eligible?

BTW I overlooked a BoomBoom Win at London....has 3 wins

They supplemented to get into the Cane and will supplement to get into the Jug (at least that is what was told to me). We will know soon enough once the line opens for the last future. Yes I am drawn to those higher priced horses...

I forgot when it opened up so I had to dig this out.

"The second future pool will be from 12 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, through 11:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 17." from http://www.harnessracing.com/news/firstjugfuturewageringpoolopensthursday.html

RTD you mentioned Fake Left in a earlier post. I think that was my favorite Jug ever. Three heats and Ron Waples stepping in for Mickey McGimmick. I bet McWicked in the first Jug pool. I remember betting Mr. FeelGood in the future pool a few years ago. Was pretty nice seeing him on the board at 3-5 in the last heat and having him at 25-1. That was value. Hit the pick3 that year too with Palone bringing in that longshot ( had a texas holdem like name)....good times...:)
