By "track reports" I mean periodical track profiles, trainer data, etc.

I think this question cannot be answered objectively as the definition of what really is the 'best' is not clear...

Based in my scope of view what really counts is not the quantity but the quality that matters the most in these type of reports. By this I want to say that the overall methodology applied to extract conclusions that is far more important to a massive printout covering some primitive statistics.

I am just trying to find SOMEBODY who produces track reports. Not daily, but annually.

I cannot locate a single one even though I know they exist.

I am not speaking of "Daily stats."

Rather, I am talking about like "track facts-type" of reports. Like what post position biases exist at this track, who are the top trainers, top jockeys, etc.

Dave,

You may want to check out this offering from brisnet as well.

During the Bel-Sar-Bel season i do exactly what you are referring to.

At the end of making my figs each day i copy-n-paste each race onto it's own distance specific sheet...so halfway thru a meet i can see how a certain post position or running style is performing at a specific distance (not just sprint or route) like 6.5f or 1m.

I really need an apprentice, like Quinn wrote about in one of his books.
Preferably an attractive co-ed with a knack for numbers and a passion for, ummmm, horses....yeah.

I find the free track stats on equibase quite useful:

and this one too:

Thanks, Big. That was just what I was looking for.

Dave I agree with Big also. I have used his track reports many times in the past. Not only are they track specific but meet specific as well.

A buddy of mine used to go to Del Mar every year (don't know if he still does) and he always purchased the Del Mar Digest.

I have no idea if it's still in production, but he said it was indispensable.
