Summer Outing to Arlington?
Yes, it is a ways off, but I was wondering if there is interest in a PA gathering some Sat or Sun this summer at Arlington? I was at the Spa last year for a few days and it was fun to hang around with others who are on PA. I am only envisioning a single day (versus the Spa week-plus). Not a particlarly formal event per se - we can look to snag a table or two just outside the grandstand.
It looks to me that there are a number of folks who are in the area (and anyone from outside would be welcome of course - Arlington is a very nice facility).
If you are interested, just reply here. We can organize, etc in April/May

CapperAl suggested this to me a few days ago...and I think it's a great idea.
Arlington is my home turf...and I would be more than happy to handle all the needed accommodations.
Meeting all you guys in person would be such a thrill to me, that I would beg you to allow me to treat you to dinner at the finest Greek restaurant in town.

Ahhh, yes....The Windy City :)
Would love to join you guys if I happened to be in my old home town at the time. Chances are very slim, though........
I did, however, just receive this tweet of the graded stakes schedule for Arlington Park this coming season. Thought it might be of use.......

Sounds like a fun day at the track!!!

Thaskalos -
You are 100% correct. I am originally from NY.....the Greek restaurants here are nothing like NY diners!!!
Very generous of you (though I'm happy to chip in for my portion). Is there a place near the track? Greektown would be a trek for folks I think.

I've heard good things of Yanni's on Algonquin in A.Heights.
[Speaking of Yanni (the new age music nerd) I worked with him on some production music of yesteryear. What a wienie.]

[ I spoke to Yanni. He didn't have too many good things to say about you either.]

pick a date, I'll be there.
I live within walking distance so the logistics of getting there are minimal.

I'm all for this!
I have a box there and can obtain more at no cost...so I can help with that.
Looking forward to AP opening!
