ExpressBet / DRF Beat the Host tournament

Started today - you need to be on their ADW to play
every Saturday they pick 8 races for you to make $5 live win bets on
(only 1 entry = lasts 8 weeks)

the host (HRTV or DRF guy) lists their 8 bets and you need to beat them

I am not sure how many people enter, but what would be the best strategy?
If you beat the host all 8 weeks, can get $5K or longest survivor gets $2K
but top 3 mutuals every week get $1K, $500, $500
they have some sort of final round, and have 30 prizes

today they had 4 races from Gulfstream and 4 from Santa Anita
a couple winners in the 30-40 range

best to go for a daily prize by going for live longshots (highest overlay by your predictions), even if it means betting against some solid 2/1 and lower horses? or best to try to get the winners (highest prob winning by your calculations)?

Can anyone tell me if EXPRESSBET charges a fee for each wager made?

i have played a couple of times but i work on sats. so dont get to play to much. i did notice the "hosts'" select top 3 ML favorites many times. when i did play i did pick another horse then the hosts.....unless your ahead w/ 2 races left then i might select the same horse cause if he wins i win also...but if we both loose another contestent could move ahead. but it is about beating the host
