Not so quick, John. Read this paragraph:
"Corporations have no consciences, no beliefs, no feelings, no thoughts, no desires," wrote Stevens. "Corporations help structure and facilitate the activities of human beings, to be sure, and their 'personhood' often serves as a useful legal fiction. But they are not themselves members of 'We the People' by whom and for whom our Constitution was established."
I'm all for this, actually -- with the proviso that the states write complementary legislation that pertains equally to Unions. What Steven wrote about Corps applies equally to Big Labor. Unions, too, are legal fictions. But failing this provision, then I say
to the depersonalization of corporations; for then there would be no balance of power in the private sector. The balance would shift entirely in favor of Unions.
