Charlie, we intend to schedule as many "dirt/turf" races as possible and intend to stay away from "All Weather" tracks. As Santa Anita is moving to dirt this will help the situation.

The schedule will be based on the best Stakes races available that also have Free Brisnet PPs (which most of them do). We will take dirt or turf over all weather but there might be the odd race that pops up (Turfway Meet).

I would bet that 95%+ will be on the dirt or turf!

That's stupid. Why not allow people to bet on the all-weather? Maybe some people have actually worked hard on understanding that surface and they now have an edge over it. This is a nonsensical feature for a handicapping contest.

I would tend to agree with gm10. Variety will determine a true winner.

Well, my impression from reading the boards fairly thoroughly over the past couple years is that most players don't seem to like the all-weather stuff much. That being said we will take it under advisement to make adjustments if that is what is wanted.

Pretty much every Graded Stakes race will be on the schedule no matter what surface it is on unless there happen to be more than 8 on a given day. (that won't happen much)

In a nutshell this is a Player's Contest and if they want cake we'll give 'em cake!

Each "team" must collaborate to come up with their selections -- one member will post the selections on behalf of their team. It is up to each team to figure out how they come to a final decision on what selections they post.

The team will post 3 selections per race and two Scratch alternates.

In the rare case of triple scratches, will that force a team into double points?

I'm up for suggestions but this is how I see things working:

Teams post their plays such as:
3 - 9 - 4 (5 - 11)
As selections in the first 3 scratch, the alternats move in.
If there is a 3rd scratch, the first selection (#3) would receive double credit.
Any additional scratches beyond that, would be too bad, so sad!

If the team was posting for double credits right from the beginning:
3 - 3 - 9 (4 - 5)
As selections in the first 3 scratch, the alternates move in.
If the top choice scratches (#3) the 4 & 5 would both move in.
If the #3 and one of the alternates scratch the #9 would receive double credits keyed to the remaining alternate.
Any additional scratches beyond that, would be too bad, so sad!

I'm open to other suggestion but I really don't want to see more than two alternates brought into the picture.
