I think the post is referring to an old version of handifast.
The have something to do with surface/ distance but I would have to pull out the version and open it to figure it out.

if one of the programmer types don't answer before i get a chance to I will do so tomorrow

If you click on the F.A.S.T instructions button on the main screen you should be able to get the info that you need.

Just keep in mind that while dirt (other than muddy), AW, and turf seem to work ok per the FAST instructions, the brown color for the muddy race doesn't always get selected on the correct race.

In the attached example, the brown speed fig is the S1 of 83 when it should be the S3 of 71.

Actually, come to think of it, I'm not sure why the S2 80 is not showing in bold, since the distance is the same as today's distance?

The second screen you have posted is the one I am talking about.
Bold Light Brown
71 80 83

I do know that green is turf but that is all I know. I had a copy of it a while
ago but don't know where it is since my wife cleaned up my computer desk.

Thanks for your response
George

I'll take a look at that part of Handi's code when I get a chance. Actually, my goal is a rewrite of Handifast, for better or worse. It's mostly a chance for me to practice some interface coding that I need some work on. My schedule is still really busy so this is a long time off, but I have been thinking about it.

If it's working properly, the light numbers should be speed ratings at a distance that is more than 1 furlong from today's race distance. They can be light green (turf), light brown (mud), and light black (poly or non mud dirt). Keep in mind non mud dirt is not necessarily fast - it is also sloppy, good, and/or frozen.

Hmmm....the server was up as of a week ago as I checked to see if the files were still there. Maybe Doug will see your post and let us know what's going on.
