man, you got that right !!! are he and his owners that desperate that they they gotta pull this crap ??? you wonder why racing can't attract fans ?? its because of unmitigated b.s. like this move.
this poor horse couldn't keep up from step one and before they hit the turn went down in a heap. what does big shot doug oneill say to the jock after putting his life in jeopardy ?
this move should be dealt with severely.
shame...shame on you doug o'neill !!!!
let's mention the owner also....gregg guiol

Doug did the same thing with Notional i believe. the horse ran in dubai and was vanned off and he flew the horse back to america and ran him like 2 weeks later (or something bizarre).
I'm not 100 pct sure it was notional, but it was a Reddam horse who ran in Dubai and was vanned. I think this was like 2 or 3 years ago?
Doug runs em, he's not one to rest em.

you must be kidding ??? what occurred at los al tonight could never, never be described as running a horse unless you added running it to slaughter.
there is not one redeeming factor in what happened in this event.

Doug is a cheater, its been proven. Smiling Dougie will be on TVG fairly soon being interviewed as his jolly old self. It pays to cheat these days, the punishments aren't close to fitting the crimes.

save it. does it say anything about a horse who trails badly from step one, struggles for 1/4 mile and collapses in a heap ?
watch a replay of the obvious and then try to justify with that theoretical crap.
this was exactly what it appeared to be. ugly !

ya know, the state vets should bear responsibility here also. here's a poor horse going from $25,000 clm. at del mar to $2,000 clm. at los al. ray charles and stevie wonder could see somthing was up.
i mean this poor horse was out of it from step one. he had to show some soreness or lameness and with the precipitous drop, for least of reasons, to protect the bettors, he should have been scratched.
having trained, i can't imagine looking the jock in the eye after sending him out on this suicide mission although he must have known how bad he was. he had him in a spot where nobody was going to trample him.

What's the difference between what O'Neill did and what Ernie paragallo did?
Is it the same, or not the same, or, somewhat the same?

Friend of mine jokingly calls this sport Horse Slavery, and for some reason I think he's not joking.

Says a lot about Los Al, too.
Is there a more of a toilet track than this one? Who is the track vet - Dr. Kevorkian?
Flush it and build a strip mall. California horse racing is not needed on any level. Turd tracks or plastic tracks, the game would be better off with out any of them.

Doug O'Neil horses appear quite often at River Downs and Beulah Park.
While Doug is the trainer of record, I'm sure he doesn't know that he trains these refugees.
Similar bio, have shipped in from the west coast where they are no longer profitable, to run in the minors for 2500/3000.
In the past there have been a lot of horses running at the aforementioned tracks bearing the tag line - "formerly trained by Jerry Hollendorfer.
An unscrupulous owner named Billy Hays has been importing an inordinant amount of these west coast rats and running them at rock bottom at the River.
