A Few Keeneland Picks for my friends
Race 4
Looks pretty contentious to me. Trying to figure out who will get the lead in this race chock full of closers. 10 has some early foot (not a big fan of horses dropping in class coming off a win, but it's a move this trainer has used before successfully).
Top contenders for me are 10 3 4 8.

Perfect up close ground saving trip for the 3. I was right about the early pace scenario--I didn't have much of a clue! haha.

Race 5
I don't have much insight here. I'd assume that the 4 with the Frankel/Leparoux connections will be overbet. I would take a look at the 2, who is running his second lifetime race. He showed some early speed, and with his pedigree should like 7 furlongs.
Top Contenders 2 ....?

Race 6
2 & 3 look better to me on form, but neither have run on turf before. I like the 3 slighly better on pedigree.
4 & 5 have run on turf. 5 looks to have better chance to improve.

Always good to go four deep in a six horse field in the first leg of the pick 4 and get knocked out!

Race 8 is a wide open contentious race. I could make a case for almost every horse.

Just when you're ready to kick the dog, throw the laptop against the wall, and quit Keeneland forever.....
top pick gets an easy lead and cruises home.
WINNER 27.40 9.80 4.80

Race 9
A maiden claimer where I think I have eliminated every entry, haha.
The 7's good numbers were earned on turf. Will they tranlate to Keeneland poly? He does appear to have some early speed which should help, and is dropping from maiden special weight. I wouldn't play at low odds.
I don't really like first time starters in maiden claiming events, but in this stellar group, one might have a chance. The 5 & the 11 have ok 1st win pedigrees and trainers who win a few first out.
With not much else to look at, I'll include the 2 since she's dropping from special weight to claiming as well.

oops, don't know how I missed that firster with 22% 1st time winner pedigree.
Final Results for the day 1 winner out of 6, but the one winner paid 27.40.
Live to fight another day.
