Personally, I never had any use for Barney but I truly respected his bull-dog partisanship and take no prisoners approach to government. The GOP needs more of his type than the Pence, Ryan, etc., milquetoast conservatives I'm expected to support.

So sayeth the great BRANDON
So yeah...turns out ol' Sig Bank was the THIRD LARGEST bank failure in US history.

So we've had the 2nd & 3rd largest bank failures in history thanks to JOE BIDEN failing to reinstall the DODD-FRANK thingy and RENOMINATING ol' Jerry Powell to the FED.

THANKS JOE BIDEN.

You genius you.

Good thing the ADULTS ARE BACK IN CHARGE after that last administration.

Of course I was just kidding in my last post about Dodd-Frank...

Hell, one of the authors of Dobbs-Frank himself, the esteemed Mr. Barney Frank said this about Trump's actions:

Quote:
Notably, Barney Frank, co-author of the Dodd-Frank Act, told Bloomberg on Sunday that if his original bill wasn't passed, "we'd be seeing a lot more damage these days," but he doesn't necessarily blame Trump's rollbacks for SVB's fallout.

"I don't think that had any effect," Frank said. "I don't think there was any laxity on the part of regulators in regulating the banks in that category, from $50 billion to $250 billion."

Biden conveniently and deceptively omitted that the "rollback" of federal regulations was, at the time, a BIPARTISAN decision.

I would also say, what accomplishments? As for his memory he has now forgot what year he graduated High School. I posted in another thread where he told a story of being a High School senior in the 50's. He graduated in 1961, what the hell. Who forgets when they graduated High School?

Elizabeth Warren says the millions in bonuses Silicon Valley Bank executives took home last year should be recovered by regulators: 'We should claw all that back'

I figure that deserves bold print as I agree with Elizabeth Warren. I don't understand how executives pay themselves large bonuses for failure. They had to know long ago they were sinking the ship.
