BC TV
Just so everyone has it straight, the only race carried live on the non-cable main NBC network will be the BC Classic from 8-9PM ET.
For all other BC races, tune into the NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) cable channel.

Wow indeed. I just assumed it would be all afternoon. I have been pumping this weekend up on non racing boards I am a member of. How do they expect to grow this sport, one that they are committed to covering.
I get it they slurp Notre Dame. It's disgusting but I get it. But this is going to far.

One method I have talked with my friends about is an effort to get a non-betting audience to participate in some type of online or call in contest with prizes. The contests would have to involve total luck in a sense but you get some to play it may roll over to future horse racing enthusiasts.

I would be embarrassed to bring anyone new to the is game.
At TWC/Rectum, the NBC sports channel is only available on the upper tiers - not at all on basic cable, although it used to be there.

For me the only way to watch most of this will be via live stream on the Breeders Cup website or on their app. We dumped cable 3 years ago - we would have to get the upgraded sports package on our cable system to get NBCSN and the BC would be the ONLY thing we'd ever watch on it. Don't feel like driving to Hoosier Park or Indiana Grand at rush hour today so we're hooking up the laptop to the big screen TV.

Amen! I spoke to my brother in law today and when I brought up the Breeders Cup he replied "they still put that shit on tv?"

I for one like it. A few years ago there were tornado warnings in the St. Louis area and the local NBC station showed nothing before the race and broke off the telecast the second after they went across the wire. Sure I saw the race but missed everything before and after it.

Join a Facebook group where one of its members will stream it. That's how I watch Eagles games just about every week as I don't live in the Philadelphia TV market - and it's not illegal if they stream it with like a 10-second delay.

NBCSN has a live stream. Anyone with a subscription to a pay tv service can link to the NBCSN live stream. 1:30PM EDT...Saturday...OOPS

Can't lie. Loved the breederscup.com live stream - actual useful commentary. Better than NBC for Classic coverage by FAR.

Couldn't agree more, Rackon. Every year the BC uses the best resources for its feed to the tracks, and the crew for this year was very good. Once a year I get reminded how skilled Caton Bredar is at managing that kind of thing. Tom Amoss was good, the Euro specialist was candid and entertaining, there was Gabby and Acacia; a couple guys from the Betting Challenge, I think. Several more useful contributors as well. They talked odds and value and how to build ticket structure. And you even got Trevor Denman doing the races as a bonus!
