Del Mar Race 6 betting on the winner (11.1.17)

Anyone see the action on this first time starter for Doug O'Neill?

It opened up at 8-1. Stayed around 5-1 until about 2 minutes to post. Dropped to 9-2, 4-1, 3-1, 2-1, 8-5 until finally going off at 2-1 and winning comfortably.

Literally dropped from 5-1 to 2-1 in the final two minutes of betting (168,000 in the win pool). Anyone have a print out of the dollars bet by minute towards the end?

You think Reddam hammered him? I have in the P4 and thought 5-1 was a good price. After the gates opened I noticed 2-1, what?

No idea who bet him but whoever did knew he was the winner. Likely serious inside money.

Interestingly, look at the will-pays in the P3 and Double. He really wasn't live in those pools.

P3 will pays and morning line/off odds in paren
1 - 98 (8-1/6-1)
2 - 47 (5-2/3-1)
3 -204 (12-1/14-1)
4 -71 (4-1/5-1)
5 - 65 (3-1/8-1)
6 -343 (20-1/21-1)
7 - 102 (6-1/7-1)
8 - 90 (9-2/2-1)

DD will pays and morning line/off odds in paren
1 - 65 (8-1/6-1)
2 - 48 (5-2/3-1)
3 -182 (12-1/14-1)
4 -63 (4-1/5-1)
5 - 46 (3-1/8-1)
6 -331 (20-1/21-1)
7 - 85 (6-1/7-1)
8 - 84 (9-2/2-1)

It ran 8/1/4/6

Thanks for that. I have a friend who was close with Paul, actually in his box when Johannesburg won the BC, and he told me Paul likes to straight bet if that helps.

I saw that too. In fact, there were a handful of runners that took very late, serious money. I think Big Buzz, in the last race, went from 9-2 to 3-1 in one click. Didn't win but ran well.
